2020 Graduation Celebration
Helping high school graduates in foster care with next steps
This year, Black Hawk county has 9 teens in foster care who will graduate from high school! Nationally, only about HALF of children in foster care receive a high school diploma. We (and other organizations) typically partner with Hawkeye Community College to throw an open house party for these graduates. In this uncertain season, it is more critical than ever to support foster youth entering adulthood. While there will be no party to help celebrate these youth, please join us in helping make this an exciting time for them. 100% of the money raised will be used to purchase gift cards for youth to use in this next phase of life. Not everyone is called to foster, but everyone can make a difference. Thank you for your support of these graduates! |
