Alicia Rogers

Likes: Sidecar coffee, traveling and planning future trips with my family, trying new things, and watching people grow and become more confident in their abilities.
Dislikes: Greed and entitlement, days without coffee, when I’m running late, and karaoke.

After teaching in the Cedar Valley for seven years, Alicia changed her career path to work in non-profit for Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. Alicia works as the Director of Training and Development to create and implement learning opportunities for employees and help them overcome barriers so they can reach their full potential. She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in education from Morningside University. In addition to volunteering on the board for Cedar Valley Angels, Alicia is also a Dare to Dream Mentor for Cedar Valley Angels. As a former teacher, Alicia had several students in the foster care system who made a lasting impact on her. When she learned about Cedar Valley Angels she fell in love with their mission and knew it was a good fit.

Alicia has been married to her husband Justin since 2011. They live in Waterloo, Iowa with their two kids Nora (9) and Oliver (6). Alicia and Justin love to embrace all that the community has to offer and can often be found at the local coffee shops, parks, or community events.
